Who Can Apply for Free Boiler Scheme?
ECO-4 Boiler Grant follows strict eligibility criteria that you have to meet to receive the grant. You can apply for a boiler grant if:
- You are a private homeowner or tenant.
- Your boiler is at least 5 years old.
- Your existing boiler is defective or broken.
- Your house has an EPC rating of D or lower.
- Your income is less than £31,000 per annum.
- You are receiving one of the following benefits:

- Income Related Employment Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA)
